FIRE Initiative

The FIRE initiative addresses long-term research which will investigate new architectures and approaches to build the foundations for the future Internet, embedding radically new paradigms, and getting rid of the accumulated shortcomings caused by the ‘patches’ used in the current Internet, so to make the Internet more efficient in supporting society, economy and ultimately the innovation process.
